This chicken stays crispy and is well seasoned. 10/10 do recommend! Usually I need hot sauce or ketchup, this chicken really didn't need anything. The flavor was balanced.

I came for the chicken but fell in love with the fish. I'm not a catfish fillet person normally. I like Country style catfish. But BABY this fish right here was fresh crispy and delicious even the next morning I saved my fries for the air fryer and I had a piece of fish left I popped that cold fish in my mouth and did a dance. It's was pleasure
When I drove by and saw the huge orange sign that said The Best Chicken and a line of people up the block I had to do a u-turn and go back to try it. It was totally worth the wait for big hot crispy legs and thighs on a pile of fries served with hot® sauce and a couple pieces of bread. The 2pc meal is less than $4 and the 6pc is $6. I also ordered a sm catfish. Its anything but small. Its 4 juicy flaky deep fried pieces of catfish also served with coleslaw fries bread and your choice of sauce. $7.50. CASH ONLY
Great neighborhood spot. Awesome fried chicken! Also they donated a large amount of food to the chairty I volunteer with that helps people in need (The Healing Corner Chicago). Thank you for your generosity, everyone loved the food.
I'm glad that I decided to try this place after discovering the phone number was disconnected. I was so damn hungry. I ordered a super taco and 6 wings. The super taco was great and was the same style of taco I would have for lunch growing up. The wings were also good. Because you have to wait outside, the restaurant has that real Chicago feel to it. When my order was taken I asked how long would take and was told 5 minutes and the food was ready in about 7 minutes. I am so glad these small establishments a hanging in there and not giving up during these trying times.
Great chicken. Mimi is super friendly. I love gizzards and I love wings so I love this place because Mimi does it the best. The taco cheese fries are just good junk food. It's a bed of fries covered in nacho cheese, ground beef, sour cream, jalapeño, lettuce, and tomatoes. Super cheap prices and large portions. They currently don't have a phone so just walk up to the window!
The banner says it all: Mimi's - The Best Chicken. Mimi has mastered all of the traditional greasy spoon comfort food favorites: Fried chicken w/mild sauce, gyros, super tacos. I have never heard anyone utter a bad word about the food from Mimi's.
